About Young Professionals…
This group is specifically designed for beginning right of way professionals who want to become more actively involved into the Association while enhancing their skills. If you are passionate about continually educating yourself, augmenting your skillset and having your hard work acknowledged, then it's time to surround yourself with like-minded individuals. IRWA Young Professionals must unite and support each other, as well as outsiders, to grow in their profession and to dig deep in their industry. The Young Professionals must aim to be equipped with education, ethics and encouragement. Creating a body of individuals who are close in the likeness of skill level, education, professional & life experiences establishes a trusting atmosphere to allow free flowing questions and professional bonds to form. . The IRWA Young Professionals Group is recommended for participants of the age of 35 and under but is not required.

Mentor / Protege Program (See Application at Bottom of Page)
The role of mentor within our organization is a special opportunity to give back and to provide invaluable support,
encouragement, resources, information, and inspiration to the protégé as he/she begins the journey in
the right-of-way profession by volunteering and advancing in association leadership. IRWA mentors
function as leaders within our organization who serve as role models, innovators, motivators, and
communicators of both professional and personal excellence. We request all candidates to consider a
minimum 1-year commitment of service.
The role of protégé within our organization is a special opportunity to learn and grow as you begin your journey in
the right-of-way profession. As a protégé, you are committed to industry excellence and value
the unique gift that the mentor/protégé relationship offers. It is envisioned that you will advance
your status and one day continue the legacy and give back to industry as a mentor. We request all
candidates to consider a minimum 1-year commitment of service.
