SCHOLARSHIPS

Chapter 10 is proud to offer multiple scholarship opportunities for its members and for post-secondary students interested in pursuing a career in the ROW industry. Applicants applying for CE/designation scholarships must be a member of Chapter 10 in good standing for one year and be committed to achieving an IRWA credential.

IRWA Chapter 10 Ron and Cynde Barker Education Scholarship

Eligibility: Chapter 10 welcomes applicants to apply for an education scholarship. Applicants must be a member in good standing for one year and be committed to achieving an IRWA credential. Scholarship funding may only be used towards the course registration fees for eligible courses. Courses must be completed within one year from the award date.

Distribution:  The selection committee will be the Sponsorships and Scholarships Committee with final approval by the Chapter 10 Board of Directors. All application materials are confidential and only the applicants referred for award are presented to the Chapter 10 Board of Directors for Approval. Selection will be based on a minimum 250-word essay outlining how the scholarship funding will enable you to contribute to IRWA's mission and purpose, and for the applicant's personal growth.

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT APPLICATION IS OCTOBER 15, 2024

IRWA Chapter 10 Postsecondary Education Scholarship Program

Each calendar year Chapter 10 will consider giving $1000 Postsecondary Education Scholarships to a student who is entering a course of study in any of the various fields related to the right of way profession.

Eligibility: Applicants must be a student enrolled at an accredited postsecondary education institution with a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average on a 4.0 Scale. To be eligible for the scholarship, the area of postsecondary study may be law, surveying/GIS,
engineering, planning, real property appraisal/management, public administration, environmental studies or related fields of study.
Scholarship funding must be applied to the Spring semester following the awarding of the scholarship, or the Fall semester immediately following said Spring semester. Applications must be submitted to the Sponsorship/Scholarship Committee Chair. 
Successful applicants will be notified and presented their award at the annual awards banquet held in December of each calendar year.
